Collecting Food With Scouts

The Food Bank distributes food baskets to approximately 40 local community families each month.

Boy Scout Food Drive

Fanwood Presbyterian sponsors and houses a local Boy Scout Troop.  This Troop runs an Annual Food Drive which is the biggest single food source for our Food Bank. This food is distributed to needy local families. To keep supplies up, food is also regularly donated by FPC members. top

Home First - Dick Sharrett homefirst@fanwoodpc.org

Soup Kit TeensThe Interfaith Council for Homeless Families (ICHF) was created in response to the growing number of homeless families in Union County. A Network of volunteers from local congregations provides emergency shelter, meals and support services to families who are homeless, while professionals provide ongoing case management. Families can be two parents with children, single parent with children, guardian with children or couples.

Soup PotOur Network provides for both of these needs, while advocating for societal solutions to the crisis. Volunteers offer support and encouragement as families in trouble try to survive and stay together. Volunteers from our congregation are provided to the Union County Interfaith Council for the Homeless four times a year. FPC volunteers help prepare meals, arrange transportation and host guests selected by the Council. top
