       FOOD BANK

SERVING OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH

FEEDING THE HUNGRY MONTHLY.

The 3rd Saturday of each month

9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

@ Church Parking Lot

Food can be dropped off and placed in the blue carts in the parking lot on Tuesdays 3-5PM. There is also plastic bins labeled food bank on Martine Ave. and the back door of the church closest to the parking lot (follow the playground fence) where you can drop off items anytime (if Tuesdays does not work for you). Also the YMCA on Martine Ave has a box outside for donations labeled FPC.

Checks can also be made out to Fanwood Presbyterian Church and are tax deductible (enter Food Bank on the memo line). They can be sent to Fanwood Presbyterian Church 74 S Martine Ave, Fanwood, NJ 07023.

FPC has provided groceries to the hungry since 1971, when the program began as a cupboard through which food was delivered to the needy.  Since the pandemic started, our clientele has almost doubled to more than 75 families, mostly from the Plainfield area.  They pick up food on the third  Saturday of each month from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m..  The Food Bank is stocked by FPC congregants; the November Scouting for Food Drive in  Fanwood and Scotch Plains; and the May food drive conducted by Fanwood postal workers and many local residents.  We receive food donations every Sunday in worship and during office hours.  Please contact fanwoodpres@gmail.com for more information. You can Send a Check to Fanwood Presbyterian with a Memo 'Food Bank' and 100% will go to the hungry.
