The Scotch Plains–Fanwood Ministerium exists to connect faith and civic leaders, to share resources and events and respond collectively to local needs so that we can celebrate, build and support community members and organizations within our diverse Scotch Plains–Fanwood municipalities.

Fanwood Presbyterian is an active member of the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Ministerium, a coalition of faith communities, civic leaders, and nonprofit organizations serving the Scotch Plains and Fanwood area. In 2025, we were honored to host the Ministerium's annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Service in our sanctuary.

What sets the Ministerium apart is its breadth — clergy work alongside town mayors, school leadership, and nonprofit directors, reflecting a shared belief that community wellbeing is everyone's responsibility. Members gather regularly for conversation and collaboration, and speak collectively when the community calls for a unified voice.
